These prompts are intended to help your chatbot content creators translate passage content and training phrases for your chatbot questions. The generated content must be reviewed and published before it will be visible to your chatbot users.
You need an administrator or publisher role in your team to change a task prompt.
The task contains two prompts:
-
Translate Content generates a translation of the Bot Message content in a passage, including Quick Replies.
Prompt variables ${language} and ${content}. -
Translate Question generates a translation of an NLP question's training phrases.
Prompt variables ${language} and ${question}.
Changes to these prompts are applied immediately and do not appear in versions. You can test your changes by duplicating passages in your chatbot and translating the passage content or questions.
Prompt variables and requirements
The default prompts provide some simple formatting and grammar instructions, and use the following prompt variables:
-
${language}: the selected language to generate a translation for.
This will be one of the languages specified in your NLP settings. - ${content}: the bot message content and quick replies to translate.
- ${question}: the training phrases to translate.
You don't need to provide values for these variables: they're automatically supplied when you use the translate content feature. Make sure you don't change or delete these prompt variables.
Suggested customisations
The default prompts provide instructions to avoid capitalising any words that were not capitalised in the original content, and to use correct grammar for translated training phrases. We recommend you keep these instructions, but you may like to adjust them to be more specific to your needs:
- Add instructions to use specific spelling, terminology, tone, or cultural ways of speaking.
- Add your organisation's context, such as a banking organisation or city council.
