Meta (custom app) Step 1a: Add access tokens and callback URLs

Make sure you have created your Meta Messenger integration.

To create the connection between your inGenious AI chatbot and your Meta custom app:

• Add the Facebook Page Access Token to inGenious AI
• Add the inGenious AI Callback URL and token to your Facebook App

You need an administrator role on your team to make changes to integrations.

Add the Facebook Page Access Token to inGenious AI

In your Facebook Developer page:

1. In the left menu, click the arrow next to Messenger.
2. Click Settings.
3. Scroll down to Access Tokens.
4. Select the Facebook Page you want to integrate.
   A Page Access Token is created.
   Note: Make sure you’re an Admin for the page you want to integrate. Only pages you’re an Admin for are displayed in the list.
5. Click the access token to copy it to your clipboard.

In the Meta Messenger integration in your inGenious AI chatbot:

1. Paste the access token you copied into the Page Access Token field.
2. Copy the Callback URL and Callback URL Verify Token to Notepad.
   Keep this integration open, you'll use it in later steps.

Add the inGenious AI Callback URL and token to your Facebook App

Make sure you copied the Callback URL and Callback URL Verify Token from your inGenious AI chatbot.

In your Facebook Developer page:

1. In the left menu, click Webhooks.
2. Click Edit Subscription.
3. Paste the Callback URL and Verify Token.
4. Click Verify and Save.
