Files for Kendra store knowledge bases are maintained in Amazon Web Services, and the changes must be synced to your chatbot. The dates and times the knowledge base was synced are displayed on the knowledge base screen.
You can manually sync the knowledge base or configure a sync schedule to automatically sync changes to your chatbot. Synced changes will be available in TestBot for you to test. The changes are available to your live chatbot after each sync.
If you are using a vector knowledge base, each data source is synced individually, and changes must be published before they're available to your live chatbot.
Manually sync
To manually sync the knowledge base:
- Click Manage > More in the left navigation, then click Knowledge Bases.
- Click the Kendra knowledge base you want to view.
- Click the menu next to one of the sync entries.
- Click Sync Now.
View sync schedule
To view the automatic sync schedule:
- Click Manage > More in the left navigation, then click Knowledge Bases.
- Click the Kendra knowledge base you want to view.
- Click the menu next to one of the sync entries.
- Click View Schedule.
Edit sync schedule
To edit the automatic sync schedule:
- Click Manage > More in the left navigation, then click Knowledge Bases.
- Click the Kendra knowledge base you want to view.
- Click the menu next to one of the sync entries.
- Click Edit Schedule.
- Select the Frequency of the sync.
- Select the Hour and Minute to start the sync.
- Click Save.
