Edit a variable

You can edit the variable name which appears in the placeholder chip. This change will automatically appear throughout your chatbot and does not need to be published.

You can also edit a variable to create or remove a default value.

Edit a variable name

1. Open the team and chatbot you want to work with.
2. Click Variables in the left navigation.
3. Click the name of the variable you want to change.
4. Type the new name of the variable.
5. Click Save.
